I do recommend upgrading this simply because the batteries are so old now, and there is no way of telling how long they will last with frequent play. There are plenty of “cheaper” battery options on the market other than what I offer as a upgrade but, they’re not as good. If, for some reason, the game boy stops working in any way, send it back to me, and I’ll fix it free of charge, even if it was your fault. I value my customers and love this hobby. IMPORTANT – I do NOT recommend using fast charging plugs like Samsung or IPhone, a GBA SP charges at 5.2V if you attempt to put more through it, you will blow a fuse and your console will not charge. IMPORTANT – I do NOT recommend using a USB-C to USB-C cable. The majority of plugs that come with these cables will be more than 5.2V. IMPORTANT – I do NOT Reccomend using a USB-C PLUG of ANY KIND. Over 5.2V will blow a fuse and you won’t be able to charge your game boy. IMPORTANT – I do NOT recommend charging while playing. It is too much added power. IMPORTANT – I ONLY recommend using a normal USB plug and USB to USB-C cable. IMPORANT – I ONLY recommend to charge via USB wall plug only, no laptops or silly ways of charging and don’t leave it charging over night or when you leave the house like we’re all guilty of doing with our phones!
